Description
Highlights from the second ISDS World Trial.
The International Sheep Dog Society’s 2005 World Trial was held at Tullamore, County Offaly, Ireland.
Over 240 of the best dogs and handlers from 21 countries competed for the prestigious World Champion title, with 16 handlers qualified for the Final Day of competition.
Finals Day was full of incident, beginning with a thick fog that delayed the start of the competition. However, the difficult course produced a great day of trialling, even though high temperatures later in the day caused a number of retirements in the afternoon.
This 2 DVD set shows 4 hours of highlights from the four days of competition, and features complete runs, scores and interviews of the 5 top scoring finalists: Nigel Watkins with Peg (Wales), Jim Cropper with Sid (England ), Serge van der Zweep with Glen (Netherlands), Gordon Watt with York (England ) and Duncan Robertson with Cap II (Scotland).
Here are two DVDs that can be watched as a master class in sheepdog handling, or simply as great entertainment for anyone who enjoys sheepdogs and rural life.
